the dour, uncommunicative English and Welsh

Post by trekmoor »

Yes , that's you lot I'm talking about ! According to myth and legend the Scots are supposed to be miserable, dour sorts o' buggers but I now have undeniable proof that this is just a load of propaganda began by aw they folk unfortunate enough not to be Scottish.

The proof of this comes from the sea fishing forum I am a member of. Here are some statistics from that forum.

The forum splits into English, Welsh and Scottish numbers of threads and of posts.

England ---- Total number of threads ----- 532
"-------------------"-----------" posts --------- 3262

Wales … total of threads ----- 21
----------total of posts ……. 105

Scotland …(aka ...God's ain country.)
Total number of threads …… 6579
Total number of posts ….wait for it ….wait for it ….. 100,073 !,

And no Judy, the "100 thousand posts" were not all made by me !

I always said the English were a miserable bunch of gits !

Hold on there, munsty - I see ol' Bill as a data miner and the lady moderator his little bird, er, canary tellin' him the facts of online gassing! Oops, better retract that last bit or I could be like them canaries that get gassed down the pit!

Wullie, I think its just because you have better fishing and perhaps better anglers in Scotland, no one posts about catching nothing ;)

Bill must be better being as he is stirring things up again
Me, Ghillie the Champion, Merlin the Mad. Brittanys were bred as poachers dogs.....They were an extension of the old rogue's arm, trained to look innocent and unprepossessing, all the time plotting, thinking, scheming to make game!
