It's been a bit of a rubbish time recently, I lost my old girl, she would have been 15 in August and we've been through a lot of cr@p together, I still have her half sister who is 14 in August, but it has been such a hard wrench. So to get some good news about one of my pups has lightened spirits here for me, one of my pups has previously passed her retriever test (youngest in group), passed her health tests with flying colours (A1 hips and elbows) and the final test was the conformation test. Some European countries insist on these tests to prove the quality of dogs before they are allowed to be bred on from. Anyway, Maggie passed this with flying colours as well, her only fault that she's 1cm shorter than the ideal height for a bitch, otherwise all is correct with good angulation and a feminine head with good ear set. I'm over the moon for her owners as this is the second time they are starting out with a bitch as a foundation for their own kennel, unfortunately their first bitch produced epileptic pups in her first litter, so they had to abandon that plan.

Sorry to hear that J.
I take it the photo is your Euro-pup, not Maggie? I personally much prefer that style of lab to the modern racing snake type popular today.

This is Maggie, who is in Germany. She was my pick of that litter, I didn't have time to keep a pup back but my bitch was going to be too old for a first litter otherwise; I've since had another litter, a repeat mating, and got my own version. Maggie was quite a leggy youngster, slow to mature, like her Grandma, who I still have. Her mum is a really compact bitch, and the pups are proving to be nice looking, some slower at maturing than others, but I'm really happy with how they are all turning out.

I've posted these images before, but this is Maggie as a 12 month old youngster, all legs, but lovely angulation (to my eye)
