Yesterday I had a "big birthday" and his owner came round to see me with him, he is now 18 months old, how he had changed and filled out and wasn't a bad looking dog at all - almost ruined my birthday!!

How dogs can mature and alter
When the pups went I had a difficult choice between two dog pups, made mainly on markings (I would have liked to keep both but don't have the time or work for too many). He was the only one not to go to a gundog home but is doing other work, I last saw him at 12 months old and he was a bit of a gawky spider of a dog and I was pretty pleased with the choice I made.

But I was pleased to see how he had matured as I know where he lives and whilst he isn't being trained as a gundog I have seen his natural ability, so in a way it made my birthday
. They always remain YOUR pups no matter where they go!

Good dogs, access to great ground, another spin around the sun, got to be worth celebrating!!

True - just found out my brother in law has given me a couple of days (well nights) sea trout fishing - suspect he had a chat with my best mate as my BIL knows nothing about fishing and lives in London - top man!!
