I am glad she knows to take it easy. My experience is as soon as the pain has gone they think they are back to normal. I had a young bitch rip herself open all down her flank, it was not nice and I lectured the family that she was injured and not to do anything to get her excited when I brought her home from the vets. I gently lifted her out of the car and put her down and she promptly did two laps of the garden at top speed! The family all looked at me and said, yeah she looks in a bad way!!  Hopefully she will soon be back to normal and you won't miss any days with her in season from now on.

Sorry to hear Eze had to go through this but very glad to hear she is doing fine. She is lucky to be in so sync with you that you caught it right away. A bitch in a big kennel may not have been so fortunate.

Now discharged 👍 scar is 80% healed according to the vet nurse, no need for the cone thing anymore although we only used it at night anyway as during the day as long as we were with her she was happy just sleeping on the sofa. Anyway big phew....and breath.....

Update
For various reasons which I won't bore you all with probably no beating this season, probably very little if any loading but we are still in the little DIY syndicate which is were it all started for us...done nothing with her by way of upkeeping whatever level of training she once had and she is showing her age now (9) has nothing like the level of fitness or indeed the level of enthusiasm that she once had so goodness knows how things will pan out this season 🤔

IPS that sounds great really - full circle, back to the DIY syndicate which is where the fun is. It might also be a good fit for Eze at this time too? The enthusiasm will return once the shooting clobber comes out of the wardrobe. I was doing a bit with my youngster in the house last night and the mostly blind, very deaf and decidedly wobbly 13 year old lab decided she wanted to have a hunt and retrieve - if it is in them it will come out!

Enjoy the season!
