Feathering was very nice on legs and tail. Classic 1970 ' s English Setter.

I used to look after a friend's English Setter sometimes, she was beautifully feathered, so much so it once took me an hour to get the burrs out of her coat.

Hi Judy nice to hear from you. She was field bred. In the warm weather, washed dried and brushed out. Just classic field setter. Yes I was no stranger to brushing and removing burns. Not every day but the brushes were part of the dog training equipment...that is for sure. Mike

I used a kiddy pool, as thier called. Bath, the best shampoo, towel dy, brush out after dried. Stand and pose, looking good.
Performed well with her spirited gate. Standing tall with tail at 10' - 11' O'clock at the tail. I was pleased. I was in my early twenties. I owned three dogs. We all chose a great sport.

I had my first Setter, exclusively a grouse dogs, on a woodcock hunt. Two woodcock were nicely pointed and nice retrieving. One thing I did really nice was the way she would come in and I put the lead on. Mike

I owned a real nice GWP. Pur hased as a 4 month n old. The kennel didn't sell his pups until they were four months . He socialized and conditioned his pups first. I conti ued with this method and it was great fun Nice sweet pup. Mike

I found my Statue, a large english Setter, from the American English Sette r Association. ....I joined years ago. It has my name encryption on it....nice. heavy statue. Mike

Hi, good to see the board is back up and running.
The weather is getting better, green grass. I am going try an purchase a french Brittany. Perhaps I could attend a field trail. This would be a good thing. I may be able to find some in the State I live. The only other option are to fly a pup in and pick it up at the Airport. This is a breed that is not found close to where I live. I' ve watched a few french field trails online. I know what I want , a nice comparison gundog, with the inherent instincts of strong hunting whaling to please ,mikew

Hi Judy, As you guys know, Iam a gundog enthusiast and started at 15 yrs old with my first English Setter, purchased aa GSP. I was very familiar with the British Cocker spaniel field trails and corresponded with Field trail judge Alan Gwyeene Windmillwood kennels in Wales. I received a letter every month from Alan. He had great insight of training, trailing and the breed of Springers and Cockers. Our relationship and correspondence was all Cockers, breeding and results, field trails and judging. In my g forties I met Keith and Tessa Smith Lynnhill kennels. Keith and Tessa were british and it was a great experience. I spent all my free time developing my Llewellin Setter I had purchased from them and had lunch a couple times. I am asking for help from the gundforum uk and members. There is a company One Senior One in Erie PA. This can be googled. They have Senior centers in several locations.At their Center in Meadville Pa. The women employees verbally and criminally enter my name in something. This can not be this way. Thier are people in the States that are enter in television. Could you guys help me with this. I plan on getting a french Brittany but this has to be resolved first. You guys can call this place and get this resolved. This is something that would be the London Times. When I sent letters to the Editor of Gamekeeper Gundog Magazine my letters were published in the magazine. I asked for the British Springer and Cocker Spaniel championships to be filmed and offered for sale. So I am asking for your help. Mikew

Hi, hope everyone is doing well. I restored the United States 2010. I had the opportunity and I went did this. This was in my copy of Where Spanials Sprung by Ken Roebuck. The telephone number and the way this is done. Did any one in the UK call that Senior Center as I'm asking for one our members to do this for me .
