This forum is readable by anyone who cares to look, please only put up telephone numbers and email addresses if you are sure you don't mind them being available to all and sundry. A land line number also gives a good clue as to your whereabouts, easy enough to research on line. With the current spate of thefts this is not a good idea. You also leave yourselves wide open to nuisance calls & Spam, most of us get enough of those without gifting people our details.

In future the Mods won't be removing telephone numbers or emails, we will leave it to you to decide whether its worth the risk.

Rehoming a lab

Hello,

I am looking to rehome a Labrador, preferably a bitch.
I currently have an 11 year old entire dog (who I rehired at 15 months) and the wife has a Toller.
The dogs live inside although I have kennels and run for if I go out for longer than an hour or so.

I live in the countryside and they have access to 1/3 acre field and a fence between them and the hens :-)

Although I work one or two days a week, the dogs can come to my work with me and if I need to have kennels there as well. (cannot take them into certain areas at work.)

I lost 2 dogs last year - 1 lab to old age at 141/2 and the other I rehired as he got into a habit of eating clothing - 2 operations later he is now a search dog with a Police Force as I did not want a totally kennelled dog.

I do work my dogs, beating/picking up and wildfowling.
I live in the Glos area but willing to travel a good distance for the right dog (last two were from N Yorkshire!)
