another forum I go on has an add image bit at the bottom of the posting bit and they use 'PostImage.org' which seems to work really well and is easy for even the most technophobic of us
wonder if that would be easy to implement
Unfortunately I cannot easily add such features but I think the "upload attachment" option at the bottom of the posting screen should give you something similar. However as I've mentioned we are limited to how many attachments can be stored so old ones may well get deleted over time. If you can use photobucket then please do, otherwise you are welcome to email me images and I'll put them up and PM you the link so you can post them for everyone to see.
I have been trying for ages to post a photo. I have made an album on photobucket but I don't get the prompts which you mention such as 'files' and 'save & continue'. When I click on IMG my screen goes blue!!! Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
I've updated the images in viewtopic.php?f=8&t=555&start=0 - as Photobucket is constantly making little changes here & there see if that helps at all. Not sure about the screen going blue though!

Thanks Iain, will have another try later - or ask my 5 year old grandson to help me
Canburne wrote:Iain, It would be a very good idea to suggest that images are resized to a maximum size of say 640x480 firstly so they look as the poster intended whatever the screen resolution of the viewer but secondly and more importantly so that they do not take up too much the available bandwidth for the forum - it you exceed the maximum bandwidth the forum will crash.
Good suggestions Canburne - I've now done the following hopefully to make the forum as usable and readable as possible for everyone.
When you post an image using "Img" this may be too wide for some members' screens.
If this is the case and you have a larger image then use the new "BigImg" option in the same way as "Img". This will shrink the image to a size everyone can view and clicking on the image will display at full size:
Please note that the smaller the image the quicker the forum loads and displays so reduce the size if you can.
We do not have any bandwidth restrictions on the forum but we are restricted to how many attachments we can have.
I have a photobucket app on iphone that puts my pics on photobucket. If you right click on the pic (in photobucket) it saves the [img] link that you can then paste onto your forum post. I assume the same free app is available for ipad?
