We were also thinking of using him on our Druid bitch but concerned that he had made a noise at the 2010 Champs see video and although he stayed in this year was not in the awards? Be interesting to see how his offspring turn out.

the dog got frustrated at a jump, if u look back the past few years a few of the best cockers ever to compete have been put out for a squeak but came back to win in other years - rooney has proved himself over and over again - i used him and am delighted with the pups he produced for me..

Is the 2010 champs video on the forum? If so, where can I find it?

Many thank's.

i agree with this, i seen it this year, it seemed like one dog was run on too long on the second day, and had it been put away when it had completed more than enough work(in comparison to what others had done, then been put back on the lead), i believe it would have been at the top end of the results, but it was run on a little too long, and made a noise, but i bet its back in the champs next year, pushing just as hard as it did this year.

ive seen that rooney at champs, and seen the 2010 video, i really like the look of the dog, and havent heard a bad thing about the pups he's produced.

He is a pic of my bovril pup. I dont know it the noise he makes is inherited but it is not insignificant, It is not the sound of the gun that has me wearing the earplugs.

Some mates of mine who trial tell me that its not the first time he done this? At 6 you d have thought there would be more of his pups about by now doing a bit of winning?

For your first 2 posts on this forum you certainly seem to want to condem this dog!!
Perhaps if you approach the owner (martin smee 01644 470220) I'm sure he would advise you on the dogs prodogy, consistancy, faults, mis-demeanors etc,
He's quite open & truthful about all his kennel,
Watch bovril on the dvd's (2010, 2011 out now) and decide for yourself.

Martin is indeed very open about his dog.....he even told me of a couple of others that might suit us too.....He told us to ask about and see what others thought about Rooney, which is exactly what I have done!....
