rickyspringer wrote:just read the advert, he is stated as being a possible stallion for the breed, massive statement, and in all fairness ian knows what he is talking about so we will see!

Does anyone have more info on the dog ie how many times it has been used at stud and if it has already put anything good out there,

Spaniel Jim you say he is very nice, could you go deeper and give us more info, what type of stamp, what makes him nice thanks :-D

I think the litter brother has been put to Bucchlue Jazz this year, he ran in the Champs this season.
If it was easy it wouldn't be so much fun.

so the line seems great, and the littermate is thought of highly, aswell as opie thinking highly of the dog and having him at stud, i am looking forward to more insight.. and seeing what this dog throws in the coming years :-D

i actually used him on my bitch when i was there.even in the pen you could see the power and pace of the dog, he was ripped with muscle and looking in excelent condition,he also seemed very honest but i wouldnt expect anything else from a dog from that sort of kennel, i expect the dog to put drive and power in to the pups and he seemed to have a smart brain on him.ian was very good and it was the 1st time i had met him and learnt so much on my visit there.

it was that line that made me choose him over chance, as i haven't got any of the wolf or steadroc in my dogs.
as to looks he is quite long in the body and tall, very athletic.

I would also be athletic if i ever made a bit of effort. Seriously, i expect any springer being worked to be athletic, it's not a selling point with me which doesn't mean the rest sounds wrong, mind you. Glad you found a sire you like and curious about the outcome in a year or two!

i believe that a dog worked regular looks fit, like alot of mine, but i see athletic as more in the conformation, build of dog and size. a dog can look fit but that doesnt mean its going to have the power, drive and the athleticism compared to dog with a betta dna for it, you cant make a steeple jumper out of a shetland pony

Ah, just my English failing me a bit there, then what you said made sense.
