When we were at the training centre, which was advertised and well known for a 'dog centre', with dog bowls and dog leads and dog beds and dog food,Dog training . with an 8ft x 8ft bill board at the road entrance, and another 8ft x8ft sign above the entrance, a customer entered and said " do you have any cat litter?"

Another customer was looking at a bag of Skinners maintenance' food, and enquired "have you got any dog food for a collie"?...I replied yea the one you are looking at!...she replied "nah! that one has a picture of a spaniel on it".

One customer asked 'for advice regarding her puppy?, she said, 'what do you recommend that i do ,because my pup is destroying my pot plants?......I said ...move your pot plants!!!?...her reply was 'see you youre a cheeky b**tard  ..and walked out

After explaining the 'pros cons' of hypo allergenic, non hypo allergenic food for a particular customers dog, that had previous skin complaints, and we had discussed either Duck and Rice,or Salmon and Rice, ....after the 20 minute discussion, the customer decided that they would go for maintenance !!! as the colour of the bag would go with thier kitchen :brickwall:

Its laughable to us but people are "Really" cluless which is worrying

We, collectively are the general public!! Probs best not to forget that.

I wouldn't mind betting there are several hundred people on this site who drive a car and haven't the faintest idea why the thing works as it does. Some people go on to learn and some just drive, same with dog owners really.
In life, it is important to know when to stop arguing with people and simply let them be wrong.

I walked my gsp as a pup who was mega hyper and the cat woman across the road with a schnauzer said " he is a hyper dog, suppose its the spaniel in them!" I almost cried!

Took the pup in pets at home to get some cat food. Got to the checkout and the girl says "Thats a well behaved dog, what is he?"

He is clearly a labrador.

I thought about saying, dead pan, "A dog", but instead I said "A labrador", while thinking where do they get these people from...

She then informed me "He can't be a labrador, he's too skinny to be a labrador. He must be mixed with a collie ..." :-D

I see her point, even amongst the dogs in the shooting field, porkers are in the majority when it comes to labs.
Inside every springer, no matter how well trained, is an idiot trying to get out

I was walking in the park a few weeks ago and was talking to a lady with an old working cocker that she had recently rescued that had only been used for breeding. When she asked me what I did with Fraser and I told her that he works on the shoots picking up, she said that if I ever needed another dog to take picking up or if Fraser was ill on the day of the shoot, I was welcome to take hers as it was the same breed!!! Obviously they come fully trained if you get a working cocker!!
