An email was sent out by the secretary to all members 10 days ago,(assuming the correct and current email address was entered on the member application form initially)
If Graeme is contacted by email, he will send a link, that views the application on line, and is returnable electronically.

Given the timings... cash on the day is probably the only option now :)... In fact, the cash payment option was agreed as a valid method at the AGM

Hi Mickey, I 'm not wanting to put a damper on your hopes and aspirations but that estate only has about 40,000 acres ......... do you think your dog could work in such close confinement ?
Hope to see you there Mickey - it'll help wake up the labradors !

Dont worry Bill, I've got a really long training lead.......

Just you chase any game away before we arrive and he'll be fine ;)

See you there!

Had a good time at the training day today, left after my "test" run in the afternoon due to the miserable weather so hope all the retriever folk enjoyed their run.

Big thanks to all the trainers who ran a very well organised day.

Cheers
Mike

ps I was very happy to escape with the swan still on the pond after my run, I doubt Andro must be going soft!!!! :-D

We did a retriever test this afternoon which consisted of a longish walk to heel. A 35-40 yards marked retrieve to the top of a hill. A marked retrieve over one pond , across an intervening land ridge and then ten yards into a big pond . The dogs could not see the dummy land in the far pond. Total distance - maybe 40 -45 yards ?

A blind retrieve of about 80 yards then a double mark . One leg to the edge of a wood about 100 yards from the dog and the other leg even further out. Most of the dogs aquitted themselves reasonably well .......... star of the show was a G.S.P. bitch with the highest marks.

Retriever folk will have to up their game ........ the "funny" breeds are sneaking up on you !

Great weekend, and great people who attended, encouraging to see the improvement the dogs and handlers who attended the previous training weekend

A big thanks to Druimuir  for helping out over the weekend to make it an enjoyable, rewarding, and informative training event.
