Introducing Hazel

Post by Rookie »

I acquired this wee beastie a week ago and she's fairly come out of her shell since then. She's being gently introduced to the sights and sounds of life, bashing her way through rough grass and tackling pint-sized obstacles. She even had a very light introduction to water tonight and she only reaches 8 weeks old tomorrow.

Fingers crossed and hoping I can do a decent job of training her.

Oh what a cutie! Now when i see your pics i realize how much Scylla did grow the last week. I like to change their nickname ever so often and right now her name is miss crocodile. I just bought her a big stuffed toy (Ior)and she promptly pulled it into the big crate in the kitchen so the big boys wouldn't get at it. Isn't it fun to get to know the wee ones, learning about their quirkiness and their way to deal with things?

What's the breeding? Maybe you did post before and i should know but right now everything seem to go in a flurry. Also, we got mega hot weather here, 30 degrees plus with very humid air blowing like a huge fan. They promised thunder but it bypassed us, unfortunately.

Her breeding isn't particularly outstanding from a trialling point of view. She's from a shooting man's line of dogs but goes back to Superscud Swank a few times, Broomfield Satyr and Gorsty Gus along with a few other FTW's. I haven't got the paperwork yet, so haven't had a proper chance to study it. Her mother was a good strong dog and I saw several closely related dogs whilst I was there, all of which pleased my eye. I'm a bit afraid of getting something that's so hot I can't handle it so, rightly or wrongly, I have deliberately strayed away from anything that might burn me!

This pup is much whiter than I had expected to choose but there was something about her that caught my eye and made me change my mind away from the pup with the most colour in the litter.

Tail is not docked because she was born in Scotland. I had originally planned for a pup out a bitch we have here but that was obviously not meant to be. It would have been born in Scotland too so I don't suppose I've really lost out there. I hope it doesn't go against her or me.
