Yup, 30 plus years back on a Scottish grouse moor a French gun standing in a grouse butt fired off both barrels at a flock of passing sheep and dropped one of them. He then ran out of his butt shouting with joy because he'd shot "le mouton sauvage" or sumfin like that ! I wasn't there but I was told he was puzzled when nobody congratulated him !

Whenever I run into anti-hunters I like to remind them that even they are descend from many generations of successful hunters. The unsuccessful ones have no descendants.

It is all part of the modern way of desperately looking to be offended all the time. I have got quite good at it and the list of things I think should be banned is growing almost daily  . Right at the top are people who follow diets that make them feel superior without any understanding of how their food is produced and try to lecture me about it. The real sadness for me is that it is mainly supposedly intelligent people who know absolutely nothing of what they are talking about and are being offended mainly from inaccurate things they have seen on the telly as that is the closest they get to the great outdoors or ever producing anything to eat. The way people suddenly have a different view on wild animals/trees etc when they are costing them money would be funny if it were not so annoying. Take badgers, must be protected at all costs but when they start rotavating suburban gardens people are shocked that they cannot touch them. Always remember you will never shoot a pheasant, you will however blast it out of the sky.
Before I start ranting too much I seem to be the in the only minority group that isn't heavily protected by the government but it is time to use some of the daft laws brought in to protect minorities to protect ourselves. I have been trying to claim that I am part of a small religious group that worships Diana, no not the one killed in Paris although I would probably get some funding for that, the goddess of hunting . I rather enjoyed this film.
