In all seriousness, t jack, give 'em a ring and have a chat with somebody there. I did see a vizsla there. It joined the retrievers but I have no idea what type of work, if any, it's owners had in mind for it. The clubs training classes are finished for the moment, but will start up again in the spring.

Isle of Skye and I do the 200 mile round trip to Nairn to have 1-2-1 with Malcolm Smith a well known trainer in the area. I'm hoping to see Malcolm about once a month with Peggy Sue - next session November 25.
Cheers,
Sgurr

You should hook up with the Moray Firth Spaniel and Retriever club:
http://www.mfsrc.co.uk/index.html
There are a few of us here who are connected. They do training sessions every other Tuesday evening from mid-April onwards, the schedule will be put on the website any day now.
Its probably one of the best clubs in Scotland, so it would be a shame for you not to get involved given that you live so close. Some of the training evenings are on Cawdor estate.
You don't have to join the club to go to the training evenings, just turn up and pay your fiver.
Cheers, Terry

Hi, we're in Ayrshire, near Irvine. Willing to travel anywhere in strathclyde.
I have a 11 week(!) vizsla boy so after his basic 'village hall' socialisation I'd be keen to go to some more gundog specific training!
I'm kinda on my own down here in Ayrshire! (from south Lanarkshire originally) so looking for a gundog mentor!

I'm in central Scotland and it's high time this area had gundog classes again ! I feel quite sorry for the poor sods wondering where to start and apart from that I need other folk to fire and throw dummies for my hounds !
Maybe next year we'll get something sorted out. I.M.O. weekly classes are far better than monthly ones . There is an awful lot that can begin to go wrong in a month.
