Re: Sloe Gin
My Sloe gin doesn't last long in my house, I'm going to try damsons in Whiskey this year made the same way as Sloe gin so I've been told.

Re: Sloe Gin
Does anyone have the recepie for sloe gin please.... Found a few on the net but I want one that people have tried and tested.....
Re: Sloe Gin
I think the standard is 1kg fruit, 1kg of sugar and 1 litre of alcohol.
Put it all in a big enough, sealed container. Give a bit of a shake once a day until all the sugar has gone. When the sugar has gone, just give it a bit of a shake once in a while. If you are using fruit like sloe, damson, bullace etc, you'll have to either prick each fruit before you start or freeze them (I've never done this but I undertand it splits the skins)
Happy drinking

Re: Sloe Gin
That's the quantities that I use. I leave the fruit in for a whole year before straining and botttling.
