Re: Badgercourt lines
Thats scary, I have heard that he is supposed to be a excellent dog. But every dog has bad points, Clarburgh Art have been exaggerated and Kettlestang Comet but not quite as much. Dont get me wrong it will also exaggerate the good points too. I assume that all breeders will be the same we all breed to make a better dog (For their job) and we dont like people saying our dogs have faults but they all do.
Just as an example lets say Clarburgh Art is a carrier of Fucosidosis, Dawsonlee Chance has a higher chance of being affected. So although he's excellent at his job Being affected by Fucosidosis is Fatal.
As I said this is just an example and I am NOT saying the above dogs are detramental to the breed. I am only pointing out my views of close matings.

Badgercourt ,and courtman ,parkbreck, and rytex and a host of all others is there!...and the admiration above all comes from me!...cause she was a good dog.

Re: Badgercourt lines
I personally cant see a problem with the links to the pedigrees, they are line bred and in my opinion thats how breeding should be done if done with quality dogs, breeding is not such a lottery then, you have a stronger idea of what the end product will be, but I do agree your exaggeratingh the goods and the bads on this scale,

I agree.... I think!paul spaniel wrote:???????????????????????????????????
In life, it is important to know when to stop arguing with people and simply let them be wrong.
Re: Badgercourt lines
Siruis came from Peter as a pup, and Firecrest was taken back to the Badgercourt kennels to stand at Stud....then returned back to Tony.

Re: Badgercourt lines
Well I have to say his pups look the business.
Myself and a friend have both picked up pups from Tony, both now around 4 months old.
No worries with them at all, We have even had a second opinion on them from a well respected trainer/handler/breeder and believe me he was very impressed with what he saw.
I will say not your typical looking Badgercourt line looking pups. Both have a small flash on their ears, mostly white with a dab of liver here and there. Oh by eek they are very very busy with a nice bit of style.
The mating was Badgercourt Sirius x Thornycourt Bessie who is out of Badgercourt Firecrest so nearly every dog in there is Badgercourt, their uncles being Ftch Badgercourt Warlord, which I will say I have never seen him so close to front in a pedigree.
Really now only we can fail these pups unless something major crops up.

Would also be interested to hear how their doing, great to see old lines being given a crack with a view to trialing.

Re: Badgercourt lines
Hi Guys,
Both pups sold, I had a better pup in the kennel, i do know that she has done well with her current owner and he is looking to entering her in novice's after the champs all being well. She was a very nice keen busy bitch with a good nose.
My mate had sold his bitch to a friend of a member of the forum, I'm not sure how she is getting on.
Good bitches though who noses were permanently glued to the floor.
I would take another if he didn't dock their tails a little short for my liking.
