Re: Health Testing - Laboratory Reliability

Hello everyone
my name is Mansour Makki, I have been managing LABOKLIN UK in Manchester for the past five years, I joined this discussion in order to clarify the issues.
Our test results are valid for the samples that we receive, we don't usually take the samples ourselves. Animal details and identity are provided by the person who sends the samples, these may or may not be confirmed by a vet.
In the past five years we haven't had a single confirmed incorrect test result of a sample in the UK, and during this time, the only complaints we received are the two mentioned in this discussion, nothing else in any other animal, breed, tests, or with other owners or professionals. Our services are not only used by breeders, it is also used extensively by vets, hospitals and other specialised professionals. Any enquiry of this nature is taken very seriously by our lab and is fully investigated.
An individual in this discussion is making a lot of untrue allegations about our lab, these allegations are unfounded and I am going to go through them one by one:
1) "the owner was honest and the laboratory was at fault avoided using them and used others",
Could you please explain how did you come to this conclusion? How did you investigate and proved that we were at fault? Please keep in mind that we never suggested that any owner was dishonest.
2) "it turns out the laboratory are not even licensed"
our accreditation is published on our website. We are accredited by AKS (Staatliche Akkreditierungsstelle Hannover (AKS Hannover)) No. AKS-PL-20922. This is the equivalent of UKAS in the United Kingdom. To see it please visit http://www.aks-hannover.de, then click on "nach alphabet" at the bottom of the menu in yellow (2010), you will see Laboklin in the list under number AKS-PL-20922, anyone is able to download a PDF copy of our accreditation.
To claim that we are not licensed (twice in the discussion) is a very serious accusation. Could you please explain why you are making such a claim?
3) "A lot of mistakes have been made with other breeds", and
"there are other people totally unconnected to this case with different breeds that have had wrong results from this lab", and
"there has been many many mistakes made by this lab with other tests, not just CNM."
As I said earlier I haven't received or heard of any complaints other than the two mentioned here. Your statements are absolutely untrue, do you have evidence to support these claims? if there are "a lot of mistakes" and "many many mistakes" as you claim, these will be all over the internet and everyone would have known about them.
4) "When will people start to realise that it isn't human error......."
Please explain how do you REALISE that it isn't human error....?
You also say: "many are turning a blind eye and are not going to retest. It is scary. " Are you suggesting that owners who used our services should retest their dogs? and if they don't do so they are irresponsible breeders?
5) What POBox you are talking about? I never had a POBox address, please tell me the POBox number which you are referring to? You also say that we have many addresses, our old address was on Mouldsworth Avenue, in 2010 we moved to new premises on northenden road but we never had a POBox, could you please explain why you are making this up?
