Actually, that was a charity auction prize, not one of my dogs at all ;)

This is a full chalk pastel, A3 again, but includes the back ground, I price these at £380 including P&P within the UK.

Anne Upson in Kent does amazing miniatures! They are about 6 1/2" x 7" when framed. So perfect if you want to have all your 4-legged friends done eventually, as they won't take up huge amounts of space! I last bought one about 4 years ago, they were £150 then.

Here (hopefully!) is a link to one of her portraits used on an enamel box. She doesn't have a website, or internet access.

Here is a portrait she did of my late Springer. I have just snapped a quick photo of it to upload, so it isn't scan quality. On the actual painting, his eyes are very clear.

Technical fact about this portrait, because the orange colour of the foxhound really brought it to the fore, after consulting with artist friends, I shaved blue pastel over the whole of the portrait to suppress the orange, and make it take up less space when viewed. It really did work, but for those who think drawing a pic of a dog is just that, imagine taking out a fine blade, shaving over blue pastels, and working it in with an estompe.
