My Email to them is a proper ‘rant’ so maybe they’ll sort something out for me. I’m reluctant to just shell out for another pair, I usually wear the soles away, I’m in them that often. So for me the search for the perfect pair of wellingtons continues.

Re: which wellies
Just sent a complaint to Webury.com who are the parent company of Aigle boots titled Perished Parcours. I agree with the other posts about how great the boots have been but one (just the one) is leaking because the rubber has perished at just over a year old. Because they have been so good it is very disappointing that they haven’t lasted more than one season.

Update.
Aigle UK explained to me that their boots have a Two year warrantee and asked me to return them to Ted Carter & sons in Preston, who were both sympathetic and helpful. As the supplier they have sent the boots back to the manufacturer to be assessed.
I will let you know the outcome when I hear from them.

Re: which wellies
wellies are not made to last any longer, my Hunters split at the heel after a year, and the chammies i bought the zip fob kept falling off sent back 4 times and then after a couple of years the sole and boot parted at the heel, not good enough for £200 so ive moved back to the cheap and cheerful muck boot at about seventy quid

Re: which wellies
I've had a pair of Aigle Parcours for 6 years and a couple of months ago they finally gave up the ghost and split. Given that record I bought another pair, although this time with the full length zip so we'll see how they go but I'd definitely recommend the Aigles

Hunter Balmoral Sovereign boots for me, very comfy and hard wearing.

Re: which wellies
I had a problem with my Aigle Parcours, they became parished after just one season, I was very disapointed and told them so. Aigle UK told me to take them back to Ted Carters in Preston, where I bought them. They were very helpful and sent them back to Aigle who after inspecting them replaced them.
So not only are they the best wellies, but excellent customer service.
I think you get what you pay for.

Re: which wellies
I have a pair of grubs snowline I got from work for £50 although they retail for £100, only had them a year, this is their second winter and they are complete tank wellies! Warm though, too warm for summer, although never been cold in winter!
I dont think id ever spend too much on wellies, for £200 quid you can get a good pair of high boots, that will offer better support which IMO is what you lack in wellies. wellies are convenient and easy to clean, but if going anywhere with dodgy footing, id rather get a decent high boot!

Re: which wellies
You need both really to cover all eventualities. I wear boots whenever i can but wellies can be useful
I had the neoprene zippy chameaus and they lasted about 5 years of hammer farming and shooting until they gave out.
Bought some zippy Aigle neoprene jobbies this time round, have never liked them much (not sure why, they just didnt feel right) and they have just started leaking after almost 2 years (not all that good really) so this time round i am going to be going with the Chameau non zips because they do seem to be the best option (cheaper than the zip jobbies)

Re: which wellies
still have my neoprene aigle isos after 6 years, going strong (except fasteners destroyed by various pups), now have the aigle leather lined with zip too (for summer when neoprene are too warm). faultless. other half wears her isos every day and after 6 years needs them replacing, trod on a nail with think and made a tiny hole in the bottom of them so gets a bit of water ingress walking through deep water.

As a handler, its impossible to make your dog perform better than it is, but very easy to make it perform far worse.

Re: which wellies
i have Aigle Parcours Iso aswell, had them about 7 years and wear them every day, they have just perished (gone on both boots on both sides where the foot bends) i wear them for sea fishing as well as dog walking/ shooting. Although they have gone and both sides with big holes the lining works really well my feet do get a little damp (walking in pretty much flooded fields all day sat and the leakage was minimal) the lining keeps your feet warm so you dont notice
.
i like them so much My Mrs has just ordered me the iso 2's for Christmas
