Anyway here goes with an update for those who may be interested. We are doing nothing this season other than our little DIY syndicate and this year we are only a half gun . Eze is now a few months over 10 yrs old and has definitely slowed down so we are giving her an easy season which will possibly be her last but it's been one hell of a journey and a life experience that eze Lynn and I have thouroughly enjoyed. Updates to follow on the old girls (possible) last season

Well recovered IPS! Just see how Eze goes, they do slow up but as they have more experience they can still do a great job.

Thanks PRH

She does go up a gear if she gets on gamey ground, she flushed six pheasant out of our field the other day and seemed very pleased with herself

I have no idea when I should retire her to be honest, or when I will know

Yes, time sure flew. Only seems like yesterday we were all chiming in to a novice cocker owner. You came out the other end well.
As to retirement, my lab was finished last year when it came to hunting or retrieving (especially on water) and only tagged along. However, this year he canβt even accompany us on good ground, so, sadly heβs house bound now. Bad hips, deafness and stability are rapidly taking over.
Now, as to Lind, sheβs still striking in her game wear. Lol.

They usually tell you, I have one who is getting on a bit now and having been quite a keen water dog in her youth is not quite so enthusiastic about cold fast water as she was!
