PPP no chance, any space I can make in our menagerie is reserved for a springer bitch, I think the poor little thing may be related to charlieyabugger but I'll have to check, we'll have no spawn of satan here

Nah, you can't get the proper lack of feeling if it isn't blowing a hoolie with horizontal sleet, they posh Morningside bints pay a fortune for a face peel, I'm offering you the chance for free.

I did most of my wummin hunting in Edinburgh back in my youth and I seem to remember the posh Morningside bints liked a bit of rough ! Mind you , I had hair and teesh back then to go with my suave, debonair and utterly charming personality ! 8-)

We seem to be in a good patch where lessons are learned and the different areas seem to help reinforce the others. Back on the rabbit ground did a short spell of heelwork before going into the paddock with the sheep, practised what we learned from yesterday and he picked up from where he left off, hunting into the wind he was working a nice pattern into the wind with very little input from me, only time I had to pip him was when he got drawn out by a pile of brash with quite a few rabbits in residence, called him up and cast him off again. Got to the end of that run called, him up and started back with the wind coming over my left shoulder, this time his pattern was decidedly lopsided and short and tight to the left and more out to the right with bigger loops if that makes any sense. Anyway he stuck to the job even though Nellie had arrived at the gate with Lily and Poppy (plus mixy rabbit). Rabbit was really poorly so I put it out of its misery before we took the dogs down to the trout pond. Nellie fed the trout with Lily while I took the big dogs to explore the burn. Next we sat the Labs up while I walked round them with Bryn at heel which he did very well, before I sat him up on one side of the pond while I walked round the other side and recalled him, the idea was to get him to recall straight over rather than go round, which he did.

Finally got all the paperwork filled in and took the FAC and shotgun applications in so hopefully everything will be in place soon.

That reminded me of recalling my lab when she was on the top of a cliff face with a partridge. She came straight back to me over the cliff, fortunately hitting two large gorse bushes on the way down. I haven't done that again.

I got chills as I read that :o , When we stopped at the Cat'scraig on Sunday I was trying to take pictures and Bryn scrambled up the face before looking at me over the top so I quickly made my way to the side so he wouldn't try and come down, had my heart in my mouth until he followed me along.

If the wee stomach on legs discovers they're edible those fish are history

mind you that would mean getting her paws wet so I reckon the fish are safe for now
