You can Get A VW caddy 4 motion (4x4) and also some one else mentioned 4x4 berlingo which they have stopped making now but they do a Berlingo XTR which is raised up and got traction control which will get you most places! I have got a Transit AWD which goes most places

Insurance isn't bad at all. I pay about £450 a year for mine, fully comp including for business use. Road tax can be more; I used to pay as much for the weeny corsavan as for the VW caddy but a corsa car would have been less. It also costs more to use the dartford and severn crossings (even in a small car derived van such as the corsa) but not the m6 toll (zoom zoom!)

I think £450 sounds a lot for a van, I only pay £320 for my Jaguar and that includes business use as well, my dog travels in style .

I suspect your jag is older and worth less than my van? I have never found van insurance to be more expensive than a car of equivalent age/value. I am due to renew and have quotes as low as £350 but they don't include some bits of cover I need.

That has been of flea bay for ages, I have never seen this van but wonder why ?

I have just had the Transit off hired and replaced with a 62 plate partner, one thing I need to do now is maximize the space as I have been spoilt with the Transit. My lintran has a sloping front and takes up too much room, so I will be looking for another box or cage to replace it with. Tonight I have removed the mesh bulk head from behind the drivers seat as I could not get far enough back to make it comfy, spot on now though. The average mpg I am getting is around 44 mpg loaded up with dog and works stuff.
