Lets hope not!
That's what I thought it meant!
Mick seems to have done pretty well with the dog running it himself, hope everyone doesn't go mad and use it but I suspect they will.
Will you still be after using him in your breeding programe?
Not if everyone else flocks to use him like they used Art. We will end up with the same problems and nowhere to go. I will wait and see what he produces first as its early days in his stud career. Davie and many others obviously weren't that bothered that he was only an IRFTCh as they have taken their FTCh bitches over there. I haven't got any plans to breed this year so will be waiting to see how his pups turn out. Some stud dogs stamp themselves which ever bitch they go to, some don't. Getting the health tests done on the bitch I want to breed from first, all new and scary but I think its the way to go to breed wisely.
Not at all, if anything I think they are better, certainly more hard going given the ground they train and trial on. I was quoting t jack who is trying to wind paulspaniel up now he's back! the good thing about the Irish is they still run dogs and judges still place them highly so that's why a lot of people go over and use them. Hardly any FTCh springer dogs in England/Scotland unfortunately, especially ones that aren't related or sons of.
Yes its a little running joke between myself and Paul It will be interesting to see how the dog goes over here, he's already a IRFTCH i wonder how long it will take him to be made up over here.....
i will bet ian makes him up, cant wait to see t jack over here this season running, see how many woodland trials them wee white grass dogs of yours win

Them wee white grass dogs didn't do too bad at the Irish championship in December and then I'm January at the championship at thornhill
Although I must say I had Louis Rice's Irish ftch over here a few week ago for mating and shot a few rabbits over her.. She would take some beating! Superb!
Who said the only good thing to come out of Ireland was the stenna!

I suspect they will when they see him. He impressed Davy enough for him to use him over a champion bitch when he was only 14 months.
Has a dog dog been tested fully in trials at 14month? And I'd say if any honcho gets a good dog who can run 'A ' runs in trials then they are in with a chance of winning. Just some people have dogs who are incapable of getting A runs regularly
