Bless her, I bet she turns out to be one of the best dogs you have ever had.

Update on Loo;
It's been a while but since my last post I have had a baby who is now 8 weeks old, so Loos training has been slightly slower and different to how I trained Lucy but it probably hasn't done her any harm.
She is as fast if not faster than Lucy in a straight line and totally manic hunting she is fearless and enthusiastic. Most people dont notice she is missing a leg until its pointed out, it certainly makes no difference to her at all.
She can now heel very well, sits to the whistle and to flush, is steady to thrown dummies and at last ignoring the chickens (that took a while!!) she can do a left and a right retrieve but I haven't done back yet. I started to do some sit to shot this week whilst Andrew was zeroing in his rifles, she spent a lot of last season in the truck whilst we were picking up with the others so is used to the sound of shot and has never batted an eyelid.
She can jump over obstacles with no problem and had recently rediscovered jumping right into my arms which is impressive off only one back leg.
To date she has happily retrieved a woodcock, rabbit, hen pheasant, pigeon and a stock dove. She loves water but hasn't been in deep enough to swim yet but tomorrow I will take her to the ford and see what she makes of it.
She seems to love Freddie mainly as she has hours of fun pulling off his socks! her latest trick is to remove all his clothes from the basket as I'm trying to hang them on the line!! :lol:
Thank god we stuck with her she is such a lovely dog and I adore her, I'm convinced she will be able to work with no,problems and as for trialling her? Maybe one day! (In my dreams!!) ;)

Hey Mrs Crosshair congrats on the human puppy, :-D boy or girl? :?

And it's good to hear about Loo she sounds an absolute cracker of a dog and you've obviously worked hard at building her muscles.......They never cease to amaze you do they? Good luck with the swimming today and I'm looking forward to hearing how she gets on this season will you be out with baby on your back? :whistle:

Human puppy is a boy! Yes he will be out beating and picking up this season, he might be useful for pushing out the odd thick hedge!
