Seems also to have a bit of a history as a gundog trainer that, in discerning from this thread, seems fortunate for those who seek him out at influencing the tone of their training. But I could be wrong...

I don't care what type of retrieve it was, the dog made a good job of it and, considering the breed, surprised me with its performance, if nobody else. The fact that 'The Master' had a hand in it's, & Pam's, training comes as no surprise - he might have been King of the Cryptic Keyboard but he always came across as a natural communicator on his vid clips & one of those unique individuals who can bring out the best in both dogs & people.

Perhaps because Trekmoor has been training gundogs since most of us were in nappies?

"I" train him every time we go out the door and in the earier days even inside the house with things like presentation.."I" have taught him all he knows now.... the question should really have been who trains ME well that will be my Mentor, friend and a man a truley respect Robert Johnstone... Polmaise Gun dogs. As for the training methods used... just do what works...if its not working stop doing it... its not working

I would LOVE for the work I have done with Gumbo to kick start American Cockers being a respected breed in the field...
Have you any videos of him hunting some cover?
When I saw you were the last person to post I absolutely knew you were gonna ask that

You can borrow my reading glasses Judy, the one that let you read between the lines
