That is just about spot on
Either I misread it or you too are old enough to suffer short term memory loss!

And now I am even further off topic, sorry folks.

I train my own dogs to be as well mannered and responsive as I possibly can with the tools I have at my disposal. We can go around in circles all night disputing, discussing, arguing, debating, exactly what is meant by a "good gundog trainer". Fortunately, I don't have to prove anything to anyone. My dogs are trained by me to be well mannered, clean, quiet, and reliable enough for me to gain pleasure from shooting over them regularly. And for them to be able to enjoy the experience as well.

What anyone else expects and gets from their dogs by way of pleasure and enjoyment is their business.
May I ask? What on earth brings you to a public forum then?

One thing straight. :-D It ain't to make friends with anyone. Like most, selfishly, it's to glean as much information as possible. Sieve out the crap, and store the other snippets of information for possible future reference. The dogs for sale and competition section is a good place for references. Posts by the likes of Amberquest with his tables and graphs as well as his field trial write up's, are great. Being the unselfish person that I am ( is there a smiley with a trumpet in it's gob?), sharing my understandings and experiences, however small or insignificant, and if possible being able to offer even a morsel of information that might help others, is my contribution. I don't really see the need to dress everything up in flowers and slaver all over the place to people. If I offer advice or a suggestion or question something, it's based on my own experiences, like a few on here. Agree or disagree with it, it's all part and parcel of the learning process. There are one or two on here that can't stand being questioned, and that's fine, get on with it. Perfect example and one that has brought this thread to the point it is, Megsdad.
I questioned him on another thread then all of a sudden he pops up on here having a sly dig. It's escalated into this. Disagreeing with someone isn't a crime. Why someone should be offended or threatened by a debate, discussion or difference of opinions, is well...small minded.

Anyone looking for love or friendships is one the wrong forum in my opinion. But whatever their reasons good on them, get on with it. Just don't expect me to be like you.

Seppi, might I suggest you have a good read of the forum rules before posting again?

Our aim is to keep this place friendly and helpful, antagonistic "my way or the highway" style posts are unwelcome on here, I understand there are plenty of other fora which welcome it but we don't.

Now can we please get back to topic? Although small amounts of off topic banter might occasionally be allowed

Its the shooting season, go out and enjoy it!

It seems like you have a rather inflated opinion of your own importance and ability. Good thing you aren't here to make friends then, you certainly wouldn't fit in with my crowd, we don't like belligerent, self opinionated posers.
