i was told at the game fair recently by the owner of a ftch dog in england that the dog had made him £27 k in one year, anyway does not matter what kurt cost, he will benefit the breed across the water, something bred differant and from hard going lines, kurts mum ftch poppet rocket was up there with the best of them.

That's more than 1 a week through the gate.

mick used him because he was sound and an excellant retrieveing dog, the poppet line hunts like feck, he just needed to add something more sensible into the mix.

Mines done 12 this year and I'm the most obnoxious upsetting person you'd meet says alot about me Derg lol! Twenty grand for a dog well that's summit like! I'm sure there are alot of better dogs running around on shoots that the big lads wouldn't dream of giving the time of day. I've seen some Irish dogs that would struggle over here on rabbit trials were there is nothing to hide, every turn must dictate the wind direction and ground treatment must be nothing but perfect text book at all times! Hey wouldn it be nice to have a dog that could take the cover to bits and pattern rushes without a whistle? ? Honouring the wind? :brickwall:

Mine are good at taking my whistle to bits but thats about it. As for honouring wind, they do that every sunday morning when I step into the kenels after an indians the night before.

A dog covering over a hundred bitches a year?

Very interesting as at the moment there are very few FTCH studs that really stand out from the rest so I'm intrigued to know what dog it is.
