Talisker, Glenlivet and Glen Grant are the traditional three but I rate Highland Park second after Talisker - and the other island peaty malts are great too - when are you coming north Hornet?

If you want to try the malts then start with the Highland Malts such as The Glenlivet - smooth, gentle but full of flavour - Beware of the Island Malts as they taste strong and peaty, but fantastic. A very rough guide is that if you can pronounce the name, the whisky is smooth (Glen Grant, MaCallan, Oban) and if you can't get your tongue around it it will probably be peaty such as Lagavullin, Laphroigh, Talisker.

yep, milk, it takes the nasty taste of the whisky away

and lemonade makes you think you aint put any whiskey in it. so all in all it makes for some strange knights
