Brittanies do take a bit of training  If you can manage that there's not many breeds around that can beat them however as G.P. gundogs. They'd run the arse off your spaniels and your labs......... it's getting them to stop running that's the hard bit ! :brickwall:
........Try to imagine an "Andro" in miniature and with much more attitude Robert ! :-D

I spent ages trying to find a good lab puppy, there are loads of litters sired by FTCH, but in my area (+100 miles) over 6 months I found none with FTCH dams. Most were pets or local shoot dogs, but incredibly just one local dog, a quite famous FTCH lab had sired most of the litters! (On the KC site he had sired 97 litters so far) I thought it would make a fantastic study for someone to monitor the offspring and see which dams/trainers produced the best working dogs! 97 litters must surely produce enough dogs being worked to make statistical sense of it all?

However, what I did find disappointing was the lack of health testing in some of the dams, One hadn't even had her hips tested. I wanted a hereditary clear PRA,CNM, EIC pup, from FTCH lines (oh, and also wanted a 'dark yellow' ) so quite a tall order. We did eventually find a litter and picked her up on Saturday
