A handler should see the 'whole picture', but one that tries to get it in one go ,is always going to be dissapointed.
Dogs are autistic ,that makes them very clever at one thing!...being a dog.
(now theres a quote that I haven't heard any fancy phd or ghuru say?)...So it must be mine
So ..if we understand that the dog will decipher what works, and work with that?, then we are working together?
Radar isn't special. He is just a dog, special handling at the crucial stages of his developement will help him become all he can be.

Well Wullie obviously had an exciting day ?, going by Charlies Chatter
He would have been better out with me and Radar? .anyway he is out with us tomorrow doing more of the same ;)
Radar had his first day out in the real world ! He has never seen a pheasant before let alone much else?

This can be an advantage as much as a dissadvantage?..but I believe this guy will come on OK!
We now have one tired wee Viszla in the kennel tonight
But ,he will be up for it tomorrow ;)

Radar had a new slant on his training on game?
He was out with another Vizsla at the same age, but it was a bitch ,that helped to stop his 'bitching', especially in the back of the car together!...She soon told him when he was getting too familiar!

We were out with a good friend of mine of whom is reputed to be an expert with HPR'S .
He is certainly good with dogs !, but his map-reading and sense of direction leave alot to be desired?

His dog has more experience on scented ground ,and game!, but it was all good training for Radar', to learn that he has to learn to wait his turn>?
To be honest Rosie', the other dog, had a very good 'point', shame ,we couldnt get up close enough.
Radar, was 'honest', on his hunting, but he really still hasn't got the idea yet?

We decided that it may be right for Radar', to hunt along with this other dog, to draw him ,onto the confidence of the find/flush,as he still has an issue especially with the flushing cock bird and the cackle!

Well ,at the end! as my friend took a well earned rest!
I as usual, go against all the rules, and do something that gets all the juices going ;)
I am now glad to say, Radar likes hunting! ;)

On :o a seperate note!
I spoke with Radar's owner the other night, and while we were updating on his progress,He informed me that Two of Radars litter mates were being 're-homed'!

Both seperately with personal circumstances!...So there is now 2 Viszla (dogs) with the same 'good breeding' ,up for grabs!?
Maybe I should get one?>>>>
Nah!!!!
I would rather have 'Radar'!
