Surely you can just log out and not log back in? Besides, how is it "the forums" fault, or responsibility to sanitise content?

Amazing how those shouting from the roof tops are also some of those Ian has taken inder his wing at somepoint and had success because of it, add that to the fact that the likes of Ian put on more trials than most on his own grounds for little or no profit. Championship grounds found and championships helped with the running of for the good of all those competing, there's a lot more so called good guys that do a lot bloody less unless it benefits them but nothing gets said. So many want to fling mud around but can't be bothered to go out and help run training days or trials, it would be interesting to see what the out come would be if he decided to say sod everyone for a year or two.
People im sure will say what's this got to do with this current breeding isue, well most are saying it's for pure greed so it's just a balanced view of just some of the things Ian has done that doesn't fit with this.
If it was easy it wouldn't be so much fun.

Well said James I'm not his biggest fan and have had rows with him which were incredibly unpleasant from both parties as have lots of people I imagine

Whether or not this has happened recently is being made into a HUGE deal for everyone because of the KCs handling of this in my opinion

Too many people probably feel he is being sheltered by the KCs lack of interest or feedback on how they are investigating it
I still maintain that if it were You, Si or some of the other smaller kennels they would of dealt with it a lot quicker and more decisively and made an example of them

BUT how do you handle the situation when he is the best/most famous gundog trainer any of us will see and has a huge following and is instrumental in most of the breeding of every working cocker.

I think that he is big enough and ugly enough to let this go right over his head as he is incredibly strong emotionally from what I have seen of him and don't think its disturbing his sleep too much its not affected his confidence he's still out winning and making up dogs

However its casting a bloody huge shadow over Abbeystead and taking away from all the hard work that Tony, his team and Jon have put into putting on one of the best Cocker Champs that as ever happened.

Such a shame that this is now over shadowing a lovely event for the people who have worked hard at putting on the Champs and actually qualifying their dogs to get there

Blackjaw, there was a post about Mallodale Zanders litter brother. Within it Scott had pointed out the discrepensy of Deallers results and also pointed out a lot of questions he'd put to Wisdom Panel that questioned the validity of the test.

I had a look to see if anything had been added since before Christmas and couldn't find it. There's also another one about the same dog that I can no longer find.

I'll +1 James post comming from a clubs point of view and a competitor. People go on about him breeding for an advantage but he's never prevented anyone using his line's to compete against him and many have with great success.

quote

" and is instrumental in most of the breeding of every working cocker."

I think there might be a few people out there who certainly wouldn't agree with this statement.Thankfully there are still alternatives .

As impressive and noble as that sounds, it's never really a good thing...

Yes I agree.... but look at 3rd 4th and 5th gen most of the popular or "common" stuff is usually Mallowdale or Chyknell or stuff that he has had something to do with

You might not like him but you cant deny he seems to have his finger in every pie cocker pie.... look at all the new stuff that doesn't have his affix its still a lot of Openshaw sired stuff
