Snow outside, warm inside and I was wondering whether anyone had any views about the 'Basic Cocker Training' DVD by Carl and Mark Colclough. Read about the David Lisset and Simon Tyers DVDs but £99 is a bit steep. To be fair...it is great just watching spaniels doing their thing under the control of an experienced handler...

A good buy which I'd recommend - presenting leaves a lot to be desired but is entertaining and informative nonetheless!

There is so much in that Colclough DVD, layer upon layer of training tips.

Sounds like a worthwhile purchase then (and what could be better than watching lovely cocker spaniels). Thanks for the advice...

It gives a good basic outline for working cockers, every time I watch it I see a bit more and a bit more, watch the body language of the Colcloughs when they are doing the training exercises, as I say there is a lot in there.

New to the forum so hi to everyone. Having a young Cocker we are starting to train I will look for a copy of this DVD as it sounds good.

It is excellent, although the clothes look dated now. It is a shame it was shot on what looks like the hottest day of the year - everyone looks extremely hot, particularly CArl Colclough when he has to chase down one of the dogs. I recommend it...
