A mincer capable of going through bone won't be cheap, I got one off ebay as I'm starting to do more and more of my own food, including green tripe. I paid £280, but if you are buying new they are quite a lot more expensive than that. You could also look at reconditioned butchers equipment, but to be honest, if you buy something quite cheap that's just for home use I doubt it will last very long putting bone through it.

I wouldn't mince rabbits up myself either, just portion and feed them whole, after gutting them. The stuff I mince is pretty much soft in any case, tripe, heart, offal, and I mix white fish in there and their blended veggies and other stuff. But I feed their boney meals whole.

( Kinda ) on the same line as your question I have my own question !
You said about grinding up rabbit. I was told ( by someone ) that you shouldnt feed your dog game as when they go to retrieve shot game it see`s it as food because of the sent and could try to eat it rather than bringing it back softly in its mouth.....

Is this a load a cr@p I have been told !!!

yes it is a load of cr*p. If you mince it up, hows a dog supposed to know its eating rabbit that its retrieved? I personally dont feed phessie, but when i've been rabbiting and come home with rabbits, minced them up as to me its free food for the dogs! :-D
