So as I have a huge garden, I needed a huge pool for the dogs! So we got one, a 10ft x 2ft deep one.

So instead of venturing out and doing retrieves in the lake where happy families are picnicing and the geese are hungry.. why not do it in the pool ;)

"Maybe I could get it from there..."

"Just going to have to go for it"

"Hmmm it's near the side"

Actually, it's made from strong materials and my dogs don't have sharp or over grown claws.

And they just had a pool party where there were 6 dogs in and out of it - the pool still stands.

The boy is a little reluctant to go in, I think it's because they have to jump up and in rather than like lakes and rivers where it is aligned with the ground. But other than that he likes it :)

 Had giggles with our two yesterday. and my (read their) paddling pool, it's not far off the same dimensions as yours. Was just playing with Poppy, throwing a plastic bottle round the garden for her fetch and no matter where I threw it, even if it was behind me, she brought it back to me by going through the paddling pool every time without fail. She's very gentle and practically steps into it. Bryn on the other hand is a wuss and won't go near it, despite there being water in it.

Looks like your dogs had great fun. One way of conducting retrieving practise at least.

Lovely pics and a great idea! I KNOW i have a kiddy pool somewhere in the cellar but despite searching it refuse to come out. I guess i will have to clean the whole cellar for it to appear?

Judy - I ain't doing that for him - he can jump in, I think it's just cold on his man hood as he tries not to get them wet  Men!

Nellie - Pen is very much the same. We were going to get us (read them) a 15ft frame one, as then we could use it too but this was £60 from JTF and £100 cheaper than anywhere else. And it'll do for when the nieces come over.

Hepe - I have just noticed a new face on your signature, haven't been on much but congratulations! Btw I think you should go get the kiddy pool out, just cos I want to see photos of your gorgeous cocker! :D
