Saffy
My 13 year, 8 month old GSP was suddenly put to sleep this evening. Had been fine until this evening, a wee bit deaf, failing eyesight and a wee senile but had hour to two hour walks a day. She suddenly fell over then had two further 'turns' at ten minute intervals. Took her to vet where she conveniently had another turn, vet thought it stenosis of spine, gave me steroids and we went home. On arriving home she had another three episodes, each worse than the last, so back the vet again and the decision made.
She was an independent little madam, only had to hear a gun and she went into picking up mode and would cross fields trying to find the shoot!
A sad evening.

Was she the dog you used to take rough shooting?
It's never easy and she sounded a real character so treasure the memories, thinking of you......

Re: Saffy
So, so sorry to read this.
A great life for a great dog with a great owner.
Run free Saffy and, Jelinga, every time you hear a shot you'll smile and remember your lovely dog.
Thinking of you.
