puppy training
Happy new year everyone. My new pup Woden (WCS) follows me out in the field, the other day the wife brought back a hen pheasant so I could hide it for her dog to do a blind retrieve. I threw it in some long grass and as I walked back I was surprised to see Woden coming to me dragging the bird. Do more experienced members think I should build on this or let it rest till he is adult ?

Re: puppy training
Depends how old your pup is and how much training you've done
You know it picks feather so I would just leave it from
Small steps and there's no rush

Re: puppy training
I think the younger the better for birds. Bird work and training should be separate. Birds should just be fun and exciting at this stage
