Ok, i got a cocker not quite looking as i expected or visioned looking at her mom but it was pretty stupid cos she's a copy of her sire instead. I DID want the combination of the lines but somehow imagined i'd get a brown sturdy hairy one looking more like her mom, well, not. She's a princess with fine straight bones and if you want to be nasty got a snipey head. Luckily it fits her and she looks balanced and i find her easy on the eye, especially since she's such a lovely girl. Beauty is as beauty does even though she's not the sturdy plump brown cocker i always wanted. Basicly she looks right and works right too and is all over a balanced girl despite being of the 'lighter' type. Her nose fits her. :-D Don't you worry, your eyes will adjust. She's not what i expected look wise but everything i could wish for work wise.

thanks for the pic wullie she kind of looks like that around the head but not as hairy.but thats a cool look better for heavy cover and water work.will you groom her in the summer or leave the way it is.thanks again.so i guess its just some lines produce that look.i was doing a bit of looking/reading at different lines.now correct me if im wrong but the maesydderwen lines seems to be blocky type with is in my dog lines and the drumnascamp which is through the bitch seems to be of lighter frame.their is alot more breeding through them but their the ones i know to see.

No problems with cover or anything else either for the matter, also a very keen retriever. As you can see, they grow to look just fine.

I wouldn't have called any of them snipey headed. I've had snipier headed springers.
