First time out

My ess is 11 weeks old and tomorrow the first day I can take him out after his jabs.... I'm not doing to much with him at the moment apart from having fun and a few retrieves in the house.

Want to take him out tomorrow. What should I be doing? How long should I be walking him for?

Thanks again, this forum has been so helpful and has already given me great advice so any more would be greatly appreciated.

Fairly big. Big enough for him.

Just let him run around and have a sniff :) make sure his attention is always on you so lots of recalls and fuss when he comes to you. At this time you need to make sure that you are the centre of his world nothing else should be more fun than being with you.

Get this ingrained now and you will have a very biddable little dog :). That will always want to please you and work for you.

Letting him do his own thing for too long will encourage him to self hunt.

But he's 11 weeks, let him have fun with you and lots of praise and your do fine :)

P.s no treats ;) (IMO)
