Rabbits in the Wood pile

Post by greenshank1 »

Its a lovely sunny day so thought I would get the shed tidied and sort through my duck decoys and untangle my lines for coming season.

The dog has been occupied marking and climbing all over the log pile trying to evict the rabbits that have moved in under a couple of ton of birch logs. She can smell them and probably hear them but knows she can't get them. It will be good ferreting practice :-D

Thanks Dave , I dug out her papers and her Sire is a dog called Clover Leaf Charlie and the Dam was called Mhairi's Heavenly Angel.

In the sire s line are the following Ft Ch

Simon of Birdsbrook
Kelvin head classic
Carnockway Daniel
Pocklea Remus
Loch muir Lady
Green wood Timothy of Holdgate
Kelvin head Magnum
Brenjon Dirk of Drakeshaed
Leucross Rinkals
Haretor Mark of Drakeshead
Drakeshead Gypsy

In the Dams line Ft Ch list
Bracken of Berrybrae
Gardendon Ann
Birdbrook Teak
Symington Clareone of Leadburn
Kilderkin Renoir
Symington Cornelia
Tibea Tosh
Munro Tess of Morayglen
Greenwood Timothy of Holdgate
Purdey of Benkote of Birdsbrook
Pickling ton Glen
Kelvin head classic
Pocklea Remus
Abbot sleigh Joshua
Palgreave Quinn
Tibea Topaz
Barnavara Chub

I am not in the know about trialling but would love to know more about any of the dogs in her line if anyone knows anything about them . I would also love to know any of their working abilities if anyone knows.
Some of the dogs listed had I Ft Ch , I assume that means Irish FT Ch ?.

To be honest I chose her on the look and personalities of the parents . The sire was a big strong friendly working dog and the dam a fit and active friendly pet both friendly around kids .

Cheers

I thought I could see similarities to my Lab. He shares quite a few ancestors especially on his sire's side. :-D
