Problems training the other half

Post by rawry »

I don't know if this has happened to anyone else on here when their other half decides that they would like to help with out on a training session but this is what my wife decided earlier this evening,
So i said come on then you can fire my new training pistol so i can give the young lab some marked retrieves so off we went , things started of fairly well although she needs practice at throwing the dummies i was thinking the dogs doing well for the 1st time at this exercise then after the sixth shot she shouts its empty holding the magazine up so i told the dog to stay and looked up and started walking towards her to reload just to see her throw the magazine away into the thickest undergrowth of bramble & nettles this stopped me in my tracks in disbelief after calming down decided to help her look for it all to no avail. we are sat here now with a house full of visitors laughing about it .

Has this or similar things happened to any one else and should i get a new training partner but then it might not be as much fun? :brickwall: .

I'd have sent the dog for it, got a better nose than me. Might qualify that a bit, I'd have sent the dog after the OG had received his positive punishment.

Not her fault you didn't explain things properly, obviously you lack some skill! :63: :63: :63:
