Dog first aid kit, antibiotic powder or spray?
I have a number of items that I carry when out on the shoot to attend attend to minor injuries etc. I have hibi scrub for washing out wounds, dog or myself, but have heard about antibiotic sprays or powders. Is it worth getting one of these products and if so what do other people use or recommend? Is this an item I would need to purchase from the vet or are they available on the general licence? Many thanks :--)

I'd be a bit wary of using antibiotic sprays or ointment in case the dog ingested it by licking?
Talk to your vet, I made my own up with my vet advising me....

I wouldn't use any of these. Carry saline solution so that you can wash out wounds - just in case you might need to get the dog to a vet. They hate it when people have put on powders and ointments.

Its not antibiotic but I found the following to be very effective and I understand harmless to animals if licked.
Savlon Dry Antiseptic Skin Healing Powder Spray contains active ingredient Povidone Iodine 1.14% w/w.

Clean the wound and use antiseptic. If it needs sewing up get to a vet. If you're unsure, get to a vet.
