Beaters Beware

Post by greenshank1 »

Hi guys

Hope you are all having a great season so far and you and you four legged friends are finding and flushing loads of birds . Has anyone notice the huge number of deer this year. A few weeks in and we are be bumping roe in places we have never ever seen them before. Three times this year fellow beaters have come really really close to having a roe deer crash into them :o

But today the stakes were raised. On the third drive today we were working our way through the wood and as we were crossing a burn through the birch wood a muckle red stag leapt passed me going flat out :o :o and thankfully missed me. :-D

Roe deer I was expecting , a big 12 pointer I was not :-D

Take Care

Only cos yer dogs scare em off before they get anywhere near you!

Thankfully there are only old dears down here so one less thing to worry about. Of course you do get the occasional Cocker knocking blokes off their feet... Who needs deer when you have a Cocker?
