Coloured Spaniels

I see very few springers these days with a lot of colour on them, and I've noticed a change in a very short space of time. When I started shooting and beating twenty plus years ago, heavily marked springers seemed common, now I rarely come across them.

Are there breeders/stud dogs out there regularly producing heavily marked springers?

Halaze dogs always used to be heavily marked, mainly old school breeding. Misselchalke lad was fairly heavy I recall. Dont know if you can get them anymore? Many of the newer whippity white dog are mainly from heavy rytex lines I think I once heard. Cresset dogs are reasonable too, certainly a bitch I have seen recently.

This is bosco my five month old springer from bridevalley sprucehill lines. There are other dogs in the litter with even more colouring!

I still see a reasonable amount about with a good bit of colour. You do get the odd little whippety one that's not very white too, it's not just big bruisers. Several buccleuch dogs have a good splash on them, for example.

If anyone knows for any well bred springers with a lot of colour, please let me know.
