Season Starting...

Post by Springfield Pointers »

Just wanted to wish one and all and exciting season. I hope all your dogs are in fine shape, know their names and what keeps them honest. Those of you lucky enough to be shooting on the 12th, you have a fine day.

Thanks very much! For those of you that may be on Twitter, I've finally found a use for my account and I've turned it into a Working dog Journal for this very season - no nonsense or "clutter" but only facts and the odd picture or two from the shoot days. I expect to do about 100 days this season so should be interesting despite me only running a team of only labs at the moment  The journal can be found on Twitter via @PickingUp Dogs or look up Working Dog Journal..

Thanks SP. I'll be having a wander out with dog & gun tomorrow but no idea what to expect. I'll not be starting in earnest until 1st Sept but it's nice to get out again & give the dog the opportunity to stretch her legs & find some stuff. :-D

That's interesting, Natasha, I'll give it a squint.

Got to wait untill the 29th for it to start for me, can't wait.
If it was easy it wouldn't be so much fun.

With any luck migratory snipe will soon begin to winter on the land I can shoot over, I hope so, Libby is in need of steadiness and retrieve practice following her points.

Late start for me too and my start date has just gotten even further away, it's just moved to the 22nd. :-(

However, I hope everyone else has a great day tomorrow - May the Grouse be with you!
