Hi all
Just joined the forum, wish these forums were around years ago! I have a 12 year old black lab she has been retired for a few years now. Initially I'll be looking for some advice about introducing a new dog to the home so I'll be looking in a bit for the best place on here to ask questions. From there on it'll be interesting to read about all the training techniques and tips that weren't around the last time around!
Tom

Welcome ! I'm relatively young,

but there are some codgers on here who are able to reminisce with you about old time dog training.

Fantastic bunch...you'll enjoy.

Welcome Tom, Be careful what you wish for
You can post anywhere, if its in the wrong place Rascal or Judy will shoo it to the right place I'm sure, and usually by page four they've gone completely of topic anyway

Most of the new stuff is just the same as the old stuff with fancy words attached

Thanks all. What I meant was that 12 years ago when I got my lab I don't think there were forums such as these, I had to learn as I went pretty much. I bought a training dummy off of someone on eBay in 2005 who kindly sent me a PDF of some gundog training broadsheets by Eric Begbie. There was no particular detail in them but they were very helpful.
