Judy, been training with her for years she's great.

ones who people pay to train with as well as can train a spaniel or ones who are best at just training spaniels? .....either way your going to get many many different answers

you tried to create a discussion on a forum yet you didn't get any sensible answers .... is it any wonder discussion forums are dying a death with Facebook taking over

Taking top 5 trainers to be top 5 trialling handlers, which is the only tangible benchmark, you would have to look at those who are consistently at the championships, who have won championships (or multiple - springer, cocker, irish) and produce champion dogs.

With a springer (and Northern) bias I would be looking at Ian Openshaw, Eddie Scott, David Lisset, Jon Bailey, Simon Dixon, Ian English... the list could go on for a while, there are a lot of competent handlers running springers just now.

I would be with WGD on this you would have to be talking FT as that is the only quantifiable way to answer.

Sticking my neck out other than the FT lot I would say that anyone who got from the dog what they trained for did a good job. It depends on ones expectations.....mine are low.....obviously 😁

I will get me coat 😉

I thought she only trained retrievers. Did you train with Danny, too? http://www.dogsunlimited.com/i/4068/dvd ... aycock.htm

Anyhow, I thought at least three of the five best "UK spaniel trainers" had taken up residence in the States...

Mr Openshaw obviously number one,had a group training session with him and it was so obvious as to why he is so consistently a championship contender.
I have trained with other A panel judges and I really recomend Graham West and Nick Gregory.
Obviously there are so many more great trainers but I can only comment on the ones that I have actually trained with.
