Bitches going mental after using dummy with wings for first time? Why?

Post by JackLappo »

Hi,

My two labs, Fern who is 6 and her daughter Lulah who is 8 months old, have just been introduced to a dummy with partridge wings attached for the first time.

They spent a 1 hour walk retrieving once or twice in various places in bushes and long grass etc, both performing brilliantly.

Upon returning, Fern, the Mum, wouldn’t stop digging around her bed and walking in circles. Not long after Lulah started to aswell.

I took Fern back out and gave her a big sprint because I assumed she was just hyper but she’s still doing it! (Didn't want to take Lulah out as she is just a pup and so I don't want to over-exercise her.)

If anyone has any ideas why this might be or has seen this before, a comment would be much appreciated. I assume it’s just the hype of having new smells from freshly cut partridge wings?

Cheers,

Jack

Allergic reaction to something on the ground, probably nettles. Nothing to do with Partridge wings on the dummy.
In life, it is important to know when to stop arguing with people and simply let them be wrong.

Almost certainly nettles. Even though my neck of the woods was the coldest place in the country a week ago, my lads managed to get nettle stung out beating at the weekend.

I agree, nettles or maybe salt on the roads.
