Mine is also on Milbemax, no issues, tablets swallowed whole, I've told her the packet says `chewable' 
I just separate the worming and tick flee treatment 1 week apart.

I don't do flea treatment, no need so far in dog owning since 1984.

Used to use Drontal but it was a fight to get them down the dogs' throats, switched to Milbemax and no issues now. If they have fleas I treat for them first then worm a week or two later.

My vets are dishing out Milpro for worming and Simparica for fleas.
