Wouldn't think so, I started gundog type training about that age and probably older by the time I even knew what quartering was and it all worked out reasonably well for us....I would say crack on
Muddling along in the hope that one day it starts to make sense.

Never too old to make huge improvements in behaviour, Maybe a bit late if you wish to win a national championship but if your just want your dog to be better than 95% of the dogs out there whose owners call them ''gun dogs' you have lots of time just put in in some time and effort. if you do, you will succeed.
