Hi All,
I've found these videos showing you how to:
1.

Resize photos
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=6Y5ueR43CCU
2.

Upload photos to Photobucket

PS Photobucket is not the only free photo sharing website just do a web search for others

PPS Websites such as
http://www.drpic.com/ also offer Photo Resizing and Cropping functionality for free online

Not easy for me in the depths of nowhere
another forum I go on has an add image bit at the bottom of the posting bit and they use 'PostImage.org' which seems to work really well and is easy for even the most technophobic of us
wonder if that would be easy to implement
Sorry I know I am a newbie but wanted to post some pictures and am a bit of a technophobe

Iain, It would be a very good idea to suggest that images are resized to a maximum size of say 640x480 firstly so they look as the poster intended whatever the screen resolution of the viewer but secondly and more importantly so that they do not take up too much the available bandwidth for the forum - it you exceed the maximum bandwidth the forum will crash.

Please note the previous two photos were attached inline directly from my pc and I did not need to use to Photobucket. (it may be that that max image size for attached inline should be 500
Here are the same photos load from a website
and Cropped

in-line attachments have now been set to automatically thumbnail, click on the image to see at full size.

This only works with files uploaded as an attachment. The forum only has limited space for these files which is why using photobucket etc is preferable still.

In PhotoBucket do the following to give you the ability to easily put thumbnail photos on the forum:
1. Click account options at the top right
2. Scroll down to album settings and untick "Images Link Back To Album" box
3. Next click "Link Options"
4. tick the box that says "Clickable Thumbnail"
5. Click Save
6. Click Save to return to you albums
From now on you can now copy the text in the IMG Thumb box and paste into a post to get this:
Click for full size

Good suggestions Canburne - I've now done the following hopefully to make the forum as usable and readable as possible for everyone.
When you post an image using "Img" this may be too wide for some members' screens.
If this is the case and you have a larger image then use the new "BigImg" option in the same way as "Img". This will shrink the image to a size everyone can view and clicking on the image will display at full size:
Please note that the smaller the image the quicker the forum loads and displays so reduce the size if you can.
We do not have any bandwidth restrictions on the forum but we are restricted to how many attachments we can have.
